It really doesn’t matter which type of device you use to complete the course: mobile, tablet, desk top or laptop. As long as you have a set of headphones, then all components of the course will function exactly as they have been designed to.

In the 20th century, hypnosis was widely used to help people quit smoking, and hypnobirthing has also become a very popular pain-relief option too.
The speed of weight loss is different for everyone. A number of factors will have an influence, for example your starting weight. Also, as is normal, at the outset the weight loss may be very rapid, but then settles down to a regular weekly amount. After the initial period, most people can expect to lose around 1-2 pounds per week.
Not necessarily. It’s often quoted that around 80% of losing weight is a direct result of what goes in your mouth, and only around 20% is linked to how much you physically move. There is a famous saying that you may have heard: “You can’t outrun a bad diet!” Of course exercise is good for your general health and well-being, but it is not a vital component in weight loss.
You can complete the weight-loss treatment over whatever timescale you wish. In trials we found that a weekly schedule to listen to the twelve main sessions provided the best results. It is fine, of course, and maybe beneficial, to repeat any sessions that are of particular interest to you. It can also be flexible: if, for whatever reason, you have to miss a week, that’s no problem at all. You can just restart, whenever it’s convenient for you.

We use CBT, ‘underpinned’ with hypnosis, as a powerful tool, when treating clients wishing to permanently lose weight. Overeating is connected to your state of mind, and your brain can be re-trained through CBT therapy and hypnosis, ultimately changing and improving your whole relationship with food. During a hypnosis session you are always in control, so you can open your eyes at any time if you want to. It is not possible to get “stuck” in a state of hypnosis. If you are tired when you start listening to a hypnosis session, then you may drift in and out of sleep, which is quite normal, but you can catch up with any parts that you missed by listening to the sessions regularly.
